George Rode, President and Owner. George has been working on cars since 1970. He found in high school that he had unsurpassed mechanical skills with electric devices. After graduating from high school, he went through two years of college, financing it by working on cars in his home garage. He then got a job at a Subaru, American Motors dealer and quickly moved up to the head technician position. He excelled at the technical schools and was very well respected at the Subaru School . He took and passed all 8 of the nationally certified ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) tests becoming a master technician in 1973. He has taken advanced training at Bosch and has done extensive factory training. Having owned Euro-Asian Automotive since 1975, he bought Autohaus in May 2003 because of his passion for business and auto repair.
George enjoys traveling, RVing, gardening, home improvement, cooking, home automation and playing tennis with his wife, Janice. He is very active in Rotary, Eugene Chamber of Commerce and numerous boards in the community. He is the vice president of McKenzie Personnel and on the board of NextStep Recycling. Both are nonprofit organizations. He has been on the board of the American Cancer Society, Woman Space and the budget committee of LTD. He is the president of the Automotive Board at Lane Community College along with being one of 6 Bosch Service Council members in the U.S.
